Mr. Avvad is a Senior Partner at FreitasLeite, focusing his practice in the Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions, Tax and Restructuring areas. He is also the head of the firm's Rio de Janeiro office.

He has worked for over 25 years advising private and public companies in M&A transactions, corporate and tax restructurings, and national and international securities offerings.

  • Mr. Avvad assisted Globo Comunicação e Participação in corporate planning involving hybrid equity and debt securities in the amount of R$4 billion.
  • He acted on behalf of MATERA SYSTEMS in selling its equity stake to KINEA Private Equity.
  • Advised the sale of Piraquê to MDias Branco for R$1.6 billion.
